Words of life

“A time to look over our week, recall blessings great and small and pick our five favorites to share”

Visit Susanne at Living to Tell the Story for more.

1. Coffee and Movie Meetup Group. It is a nice excuse to get out of familiar space and socialize with new people.  Through this group I discovered a place I never knew existed – Apex Siam. Movies that are not showing in malls but are exactly what I am looking for are shown here. It’s 50% cheaper than anywhere and the place is not crowded. Quite a find.

2. The King’s Speech. My kind of film. And I see why Colin Firth got an Oscar for his performance as King George VI.

3. Planet Scuba. My friend went with me when I played golf last week. It was my turn to go with her to her camp.  I enjoyed looking around and learning bits about diving.

4. I love you Mommy. CJ said it to me on the phone, albeit faintly. But given he is struggling to speak, this little declaration from a son in mute mode is priceless.

5. Marry me? Life does have surprises. I know that for a fact, but a proposal???…. It rendered me speechless.  When I recovered from the shock I wanted to say yes. Well, at least it’s a comfort to realize that even in the midst of troubles, something as major as an offer of marriage could surface. This life is not bad. NOT bad at all.

How sweet….an “I love you, Mommy”! I’d love to find a place where movies were 50% off. And a proposal? That’s exciting — tell us more!
    Have a great week ahead.

What a sweet message from CJ. And how neat to get together with friends.

    A proposal! Wow!

  3. Ellen says:

Yes, tell us more about the proposal. Did you say yes?
How sweet to hear those words from your son.
    Have a good weekend.

  4. That’s a whole lot of awesome!!! The “I love you”.. Oh.. How I know that one. I used to sing a song with my boys and I would stop for the words “I love you” and let them sing alone because I was afraid it was the only way I would ever hear the words said. They are ten now. They don’t exactly bubble over with affection, but I do know that when I get an “I love you” it’s huge!

    Congrats on your engagement.. wow!!!!

  5. Or, I should say.. congrats on the proposal.. I guess you haven’t decided yet?

I’d like to hear more about that proposal as well! I’m looking forward to seeing The Kings Speech one of these days as well, I’ve heard so many good things about that movie.

    Hi Hazel,

Thanks for stopping by Friday FarmGirls@Heart…I just wanted to let you know that I am still posting FFG’s each Friday, but it is no longer a meme, so there isn’t a Linky anymore. But thank you for asking!

    Have a wonderful weekend!
